Doctoral Degree (Ph.D.) Ph.D. in Civil Engineering
(Specializations: Structural Engineering / Geotechnical Engineering / Water Resources Engineering / Transportation Engineering)

The Ph.D. program in Civil Engineering is designed to produce highly skilled researchers capable of conducting high-quality research that aligns with national strategic issues and is internationally recognized. These researchers must have a genuine interest in research, initiative, and a commitment to lifelong learning and problem-solving. The Ph.D. program in Civil Engineering is a 4-year course for those who hold a bachelor’s degree and a 3-year course for those with a master’s degree. The program emphasizes research and development that meets international standards and can be applied to benefit national development. It aims to produce internationally recognized research output and continuously achieves high rankings in research performance, such as from the Research Fund Office. Nearly all doctoral students receive scholarships and/or research funding during their studies. The program faculty collaborate academically with both public and private sectors to advance the country’s industry through research and development, national projects, and design. The specializations within the program include:

    • Structural Engineering
    • Geotechnical Engineering
    • Transportation Engineering
    • Water Resources Engineering
    • Construction Management Engineering

Primary Objectives of the Program

The program focuses on producing researchers and academics with advanced knowledge and capabilities in research and development in civil engineering. It aims to achieve national standards comparable to international benchmarks and to create academic excellence through research projects with clear and continuous direction.

Career Opportunities for Graduates
