Notes

  • In the elective course category, students may choose courses from their major field, outside their major, from other departments, or even from other universities. However, students must select at least 3 credits from electives outside their major field.
  • Elective courses from other departments or universities must be at the graduate level and comply with the university’s regulations concerning graduate studies.
  • Students must meet the English proficiency requirements set by King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi for graduate studies.

Study Procedure

  • The department will assign a year-level advisor to provide guidance and advice on course registration. Students will then choose a thesis advisor (Advisor) who will offer guidance on theory, concepts, and research methods, and help resolve issues related to their thesis work. The advisor will also assist in developing the thesis concept and assess the progress of the thesis each semester. Additionally, students must obtain approval from their thesis advisor before registering for thesis credits, in accordance with the university’s regulations concerning graduate studies.
  • Students can register for their thesis after being enrolled for at least one semester and having completed at least 6 credits of coursework with a cumulative GPA of no less than [00]. The number of thesis credits can be allocated according to the approval of the thesis advisor. In other cases, the registration for the thesis is at the discretion of the thesis advisor.
  • The thesis examination can be conducted once it has been approved by the thesis committee.
  • Students must complete the required credits and courses according to the curriculum structure, achieve a cumulative GPA of not less than 00, submit the thesis, pass the final oral defense, and have at least one publication in a format other than the thesis manuscript.
